> Kina is the AI operator in BYOM. Every change Kina proposes arrives as a card with its evidence, scope, risk band and undo. A named person approves, you set when a second person is needed, and you can decide in HQ, in chat, on the card, by email or on your phone.

## Six things on every card

- What: The single change proposed, in plain words and exact values.
- Evidence: The ticket, product or figures it rests on, quoted from source.
- Risk band: How much is at stake, so you know what you are signing before you sign.
- Scope: Exactly what is touched, stated in full.
- Approver: Who may sign this, and who signed it.
- Undo: Whether the change can be undone, shown before you approve, with 24 hours to undo supported changes.

## Who decides

- A named person signs: Every change is approved by a person on your team, and their name stays on the record.
- Owners and admins decide: Changes to your store are approved by the owners and admins on your team. Kina never approves its own work.
- One approver, or two: Set how much approval each kind of work needs. Replies to customers can require a second person.
- Withdraw before it runs: Changed your mind? Withdraw an approval before the change runs and it stops.
- Confirm it's you: Riskier changes ask you to confirm it's you, and one confirmation signs one change.
- A fresh yes when things move: If a change is altered after you approve it, or waits too long to run, it comes back to you.
- Declined stays declined: Decline with a reason and the change can never run. The reason stays in the record.

## Where you decide

Wherever you decide, it is the same card and one decision. Approve in chat and HQ shows it approved.

- HQ: HQ opens on what needs your decision. Open the card and decide there.
- In chat: When Kina proposes a change in conversation, approve or decline it right there.
- On the card: Hand a Workspace card to Kina and the draft comes back to the same card, ready to approve.
- By email: The email names the change and its risk band and links to the card. Customer and order details stay inside BYOM.
- In Approvals: One list of everything waiting for a decision and everything already decided: Waiting, Done and All.
- On your phone: BYOM works in your phone's browser, so you can read the whole card and decide from anywhere.

## After you approve

- Checked again: Just before the change is made, BYOM checks it is exactly what you approved.
- Written once: The change is made exactly once. No doubled refund, no duplicate edit.
- Confirmed by your store: It counts as done only when your store confirms it. If that never comes, BYOM says so.
- Receipt: A receipt records it, with undo on supported changes.

## What Actions change in Shopify today

Kina reads your catalogue and stock; BYOM writes approved product updates. Price changes are Actions too, in BYOM and in the BYOM Shopify app.

## Your controls

- Actions approval gate: Every write to a connected system is an Action signed by a named person on your team.
- Approval levels you set: Owners and admins approve. Choose one approver or a second person for each kind of work, such as replies to customers. Kina never approves its own work.
- Withdraw an approval: Changed your mind before a change runs? Withdraw the approval and it stops.
- One list of approvals: Everything waiting for a decision and everything already decided, in one place: Waiting, Done and All.
- Risk bands: Each Action carries a risk band before you sign, so the weightiest changes stand out.
- Confirm it's you: Riskier changes ask you to confirm it's you.
- Decline with a reason: A declined Action keeps your reason in the record.
- Written once: An approved change is written once.
- Approval notifications: Approval requests reach you in the app and by email.
- Shopify product updates: BYOM writes approved product updates to your store.
- Price edits in the BYOM app: Price changes as approved Actions in the BYOM app, with the same confirm card and record. Today, price edits run in the BYOM Shopify app.

## Questions

- What is an approval in BYOM? Kina brings every change to your store as a card: what it does, the evidence, what it touches, its risk band and whether it can be undone. A named person on your team decides. Nothing changes in your store until you say yes.
- Who can approve a change? The owners and admins on your team. You set how much approval each kind of work needs: one approver, or a second person for work such as replies to customers. Kina never approves its own work.
- Where can I approve a change? In HQ, in chat, on the Workspace card, in the Approvals list, or from the notification on your phone. Wherever you decide, it is the same card and one decision. Approve in chat and HQ shows it approved.
- What happens after I approve? Just before the change is made, BYOM checks it is exactly what you approved. The change is made once. It counts as done only when your store confirms it. A receipt records it, with undo on supported changes.
- What if I decline? Decline with a reason and the change can never run. The reason stays in the record.
- What do riskier changes ask for? Riskier changes ask you to confirm it's you, and one confirmation signs one change.
- What if a change moves after I approve it? If a change is altered after you approve it, or waits too long to run, it comes back to you.
- Can I take back an approval? Yes. Withdraw an approval before the change runs and it stops. After it has run, supported changes can be undone for 24 hours.
- Does the judgment engine approve changes? No. The judgment engine checks Kina's work before it reaches you and tells you what it found. Only a named person on your team approves a change.
- What can an approved Action change in Shopify today? Kina reads your catalogue and stock, and BYOM writes approved product updates. Price changes are Actions too, in BYOM and in the BYOM Shopify app.
- How long does an approval wait for me? Long enough to decide, not long enough to go stale. The riskier the change, the sooner the request expires. An expired request does nothing to your store, and you can ask Kina to propose it again.
